Edward Lai (aka Atmosphere Light Photography) is brilliant. That’s the short version.
I’m really impressed by what precisely controlled, bold looks he was able to create using a very mobile & minimal lighting setup (complete with stage gels for color-creation & a gorilla tripod adapted to hold a flash rather than the camera). I enjoyed being a collaborator on this shoot in more ways than usual, providing my own makeup, wardrobe/styling and the location. Really, my all-too messy home has never looked better.
And just because I enjoy these so much, here’s one more, taken on our rooftop. I had the pleasure of wearing my Stormy Leather corset at its full snugness (24″ waist) and think it’s time to search for a corset that gets smaller. The very fashionable jacket seen in all of these pictures was inherited from my grandmother – pretty spiffing hand-me-down, eh? More clothes should be built to last & endure fashion trends, methinks.
